Auto Credit Based on Baldovino's Problem solved! (this is not a SR71)
The first prototype of SR-73 was much more like SR-71 shaped. The fuselage was then shorten and simplyfied to get less hangar space and less RCS (radar cross section).
The P1 (Prototype 1) due to very high cost, was at first converted in hypersonic interceptor with air to air missiles (this version) and then in a dual seat trainer (a future relase) mantaining the fighter capability.
