weekedayin post of chii? wauw~

I suppose now I'm the rare aircraft dealer around here then eh..? well, that joke aside.. it's the Blackburn Shark (Mk.II), what can I say? he do be bein rare and less known, goes without saying that the Fairey Swordfish wins the fame contest(it's THE swordfish after all, the one who is directly responsible for crippings de bisko).

now to tackle a.. I suppose glaring? yeah probably, glaring problem it is.

I think I've slightly changed(slightly, yeah, sure chii.) the internal core of what PEA is supposed to be, or somewhat it goes I guess.
the main idea of PEA is to be AI-spawnable, and I think I've missed the forest for the.. something something, and in that I mean, I've put more attention to cramming details in rather than preserving parts, making them somewhat less likely to be AI-spawned

in short summary, my PEA has essentially became mini-replicas instead of mainly being and mostly for AI-spawnable purposes.

the question I wanna ask is, on one side, I want to keep making mini-replicas, while the other, to tone it down and make them AI-friendlily spawnable, thoughts..?

anyway, per ushal, enjoy!

P.S. looking at it again, apparently somehow this Blackburn Shark is 1 part lower than the Mi-24A I made surprisingly, huh.. so it's per technical not the PEA with the most part, though it is the highest part fixed-wing aircraft per technical again, eh? though.. to be fair to the Mi-24A, I did not add in the fixed forward-firing Vickers K so... eh....

The Blackburn Shark was a carrier-borne torpedo bomber designed and built by the British aviation manufacturer Blackburn Aircraft. It was originally known as the Blackburn T.S.R., standing for "torpedo-spotter-reconnaissance", in reference to its intended roles. The Shark was the last of Blackburn's biplane torpedo bombers.

[ Controls ]

  • Standard Aircraft Controls
  • VTOL : Flaps
  • Yaw : Tailgear(and rudder)
  • AG1 : Level Flight Gyro
  • AG1 + AG2 : Pylon Turn Mode
  • AG3 : Fold Wings
  • AG4 : Tailhook
  • Vickers K MG : Camera-aimed

[ Guidelines ]

[ Taxiing ]

  • 10-15% Power, Yaw to turn; Brake responsibly.

[ Takeoff ]

  • Set Flaps accordingly(full-down if you think you really need lift quick, otherwise half-down is enough), Throttle Full, Takeoff.

[ Flight ]

  • Standard Aircraft Controls; AG1 and throttle around 60-70% to cruise around efficiently, otherwise just... weee; flies like a charm... without the torpedo, no like, seriously, to be fair to it though, the torpedo w e i g h s a lot, keep in mind.

[ Landing ]

[ IMPORTANT!! ] : don't land with the torpedo, DITCH IT INTO THE OCEAN, HE WEIGH(or land with it, eh).

  • Power 40-55%, Flaps/Trim accordingly and land(use the arresting gear if need be or want to).

[ Armaments ]

  • 1x 18in(46cm) Mark VIII Aircraft Torpedo
  • 1x Vickers K Machine Gun(a.k.a Vickers G.O(Gas Operated)), .303in British(7.7×56mmR), 760m/s(2,500 ft/s), 1,200rnds/m(20rnds/s)
  • (unincluded) 1x fixed forward-firing Vickers K Machine Gun

[ Notes ]

  • less known aircraft per as typical and usual, somewhat overshadowed by the Fairey Swordfish's career of biskuit munch, nevertheless, is me like very mooch, is cool :3
  • I was initially happy that someone mentioned they wanted to build one, they have not, as of yet however, built one. oh, someone did made a B4Y clone that according to the person, "somewhat more closely resembled a Blackburn Shark", surprisingly, with some tweak if wanted to(adding struts, smoothing the tail rudder, and sweeping the wing a little bit), it could pass as being one, hoohfw!
  • I want to start branching out for fictional stuffs probably soon, but with LPA(Low-Part Aircrafts), I can't do much in ways of chii, so with a little hammer to the headranium, I plan to make Project EFA, or Efficient Fictional Aircrafts, a go as soon as I can do so, though... don't expect much, I don't have many experiences with fictional aircrafts as I have with mini-replicas so quality wise.. likely questionable.. hey, I'll probably go with something on my expertise first... interwar aircrafts... huh.. hm.
  • oh also, I've learned to make the Brit roundels with just 1 label part, expect more part saving measures ferfutureh >:3

Free to use!

if ya want to make an airbase, or maybe make an airwing for a carrier, or maybe to help battleships lead their shells, you can add and use any of my planes (unless you claim them as your own creation, i will damp your pillows if you do.)

Want More Part-Efficient Aircrafts?

come along come along! we(yes, we.) have a lot of low part, simple, and realistic performing aircrafts for all to use and fight against! light performance cost and AI-spawnable, there's no reason not to! we have the little beloved Fuchs, the graceful Muromets, the Holy Mi-26, and... a lot of obscure aircrafts are available!!

P.S. I'm somewhat closing Community PEA submissions(for now), and I've read some of some feedbacks, i take notice of in particular of course, the lack of quality, especially people mislabelling low-part as "PEA"(yes, miss lunar, i do regret it), and i suppose the lot of it is because they dont know HOW to save part, i don't blame them, but when i get the time, i hope to create a tutorial on how to save part, since I have quite some that i want to share, anyway, toos, and see you later when i get around again, chii-se ( = w = )

I'm pretty sure you don't need it, but to be safe I used a detacher too.

and instead of attaching the top to the aircraft I attach the back to the aircraft

@Graingy the easiest one, yet so useful, is the smooth; you know when you make a plane and they pitch up violently?, with the magic of "smooth(Pitch, insert small decimal like 0.4)", like the name, it smoothes out the pitch speed :3

@ZeroWithSlashedO no detacher or nothin? well, gotta try that now. say, unmodified missile or like, custom parameters? and is it interceptor or guardian? if that matters

@HummilteDesignBureau honestly, I'm the wrong person to ask about modern-ish aircraft lmao, but since you asked.. gunpods, with how miniaturized it is and since the aim is I assume a "light attack aircraft" that is fast, the sponsor approach of OV-10 doesn't work, and since practically every space is taken for the other subsystems, gunpods are probably the only suggestion I have, 7.62mm minigun pods is probably lacklustre, so I suppose somehow central 20mm gunpod? or inboard pylon 12.7mm gunpods, that might work.

also do tag, I wanna see how you made the camo, and the plane itself, ye? :3
