I came back to this because now I really want this in realife, its a large SUV type car and it would be great to carry all my flying gear!

In the future, I recommend using fuselage parts with massScale set to 0 and calculateDrag set to false
These options are accessible in overload. Activate overload at the title screen by selecting mods. A button will appear in the bottom right of the designer screen.
This will reduce weight/rollovers and significantly reduce lag.
