I found this when searching for my A330 livery project and I didnt remember if I've ever made this
Lore(this is from my old role playing story)
In 1942 the Japanese invaded the north portion of British Overseas Territory of Wright Islands. They trying to re take the portion of island that was invaded by Axis force but failed because many of them are died. They then decided to take the Bougainville Air DC-3s that was left abandoned since the start of the war and converted it to a gunship. The attack with DC-3 gunship is a success and they're able to re take the island. Then the Bougainville Air was re-estabilished by Royal Air Force to operate the gunships.
In total there are 238 examples converted from DC-3s and C-47s. and there are 40 airframe lost. One of the most famous is the group of CDWX-337 gunships that lost near North Korea after bombed Japan. They're suspected executing an emergency landing somewhere in Soviet Union and got captured by Red Army
