Modern Fighter Jet Challenge
Hello everyone Welcome to the Modern Fighter jet Challenge.
Deadline Is OCT 17th.
If you accept the challenge, your goal is to make a Military Fighter jet . That is an aircraft intended for MILITARY use. I will not be accepting prototypes into this challenge, as I consider those to be separate categories. I will allow one entry per user per category
RULES:
- Your entry must be a new and original build;
- Intended purpose of your design must be Fighter jets ill allow fictional.
- Your plane must provide seating for 2 to 1 including crew. Single seater
- Your plane may be a replica or a fictional design, but must be realistic.
- Your entry must be flyable aircraft. If I can't get it off the ground, it'll be disqualified.
- Your entry must contain at least 75 parts.
- Your entry must contain fewer than 700 parts.
- XML editing is allowed and encouraged. Mod parts are forbidden, and entries containing mod parts will be tested with mod parts removed.
- Entry must have description, do not copy and paste
- Entry must be a successor to the challenge.
- I will be comparing the plane with closest real life plane to assess its seating capacity.
I keep the right to accept planes with fewer than 75 and more than 700 parts if I really like them. Such exception will be fined with 5 points for failing to fit the requirements, and I will request a version with reduced part count if I can't run the original.
Judging criteria:
Design: Does it look like a Fighter Jet? If it's a replica, how accurate is it? 10 points
Performance: Does it fly like a comparable real plane? I will be looking at max speed, rate of climb, gliding performance... 10 points
Paint scheme: Fighter jets are always painted to look nice. Yours shouldn't be an exception. 10 points
Build quality: Smoothness, efficiency in using parts, custom parts. 10 points
Description: Does it contain pictures? Does it describe the plane? Does it provide instructions? 10 points
Rewards:
- 1st place - 8 upvotes;
- 2nd place - 5 upvotes;
- 3rd place - 3 upvotes;
If you don't understand something, feel free to ask.
Do your best. Just because a high level builder posted a good entry, doesn't mean you can put him down or say it bad, just make a plane with some effort
I will not provide feedback on your entries until I start judging, except to inform those with unsuitable builds that they can't compete.
A few advices:
Do your research. Read about planes similar to your design (or about your design, if it's a replica);
Pay attention to details. Look up pictures. Every one of those little antennas, bulges, and holes has a purpose. Try to put them on your build;
Try to find a cutaway of an aircraft similar to yours. It will tell you what goes where;

@EternalDarkness what
@EternalDarkness
Me: speechless
@FeiWu I have literally guided him step by step to make this challenge. He insisted on making one even though I tried to persuade him not to. He still somehow managed to screw up. I already told him what will happen if he doesn't rate the entries. I even literally edited description to credit myself since @TheTomcatters forgot XD

Click and read the stream of comments about what some players and a mod thinks of this kind of challenges
Ngl, this is an example of a bad challenge. I suggest you ask more experienced players for advice when grading the challenge. Also, you literally copied @EternalDarkness 's desc. So that's where the advice came from. I tagged the Moderator because I think this is becoming point mining. Clearly, you put next to no effort into this. At least you bothered to not use the default cockpit and you bothered to copy three paragraphs. I don't think this is enough.
After you copied and changed it a bit, you didn't even bother to proof your "own" description. There are no categories for this contest, yet you said:
no
I am not trying to bully you. After all, I am only silver, and basically no one notices me. The point is, you do not deserve to get points for copying three paragraphs from a more well respected player. As a final note, Eternal did not give ten points for a paint job.
As a message to Eternal, if you are reading this, I hope this is not hate speech. If it is, I sincerely apologize and I accept the consequences.
@FeiWu ok
@TheTomcatters
NO.
@FeiWu wait wha?
@TheTomcatters Seriously, a paint job is worth as much as performance and design? I think you should rethink ur point guidelines.
@BurkeAircraft1 yes late coldwar ill allow
Can it be a 60s fighter jet?
Well, I have my entry almost ready.
@TheTomcatters Ok, done.
Sounds very interesting, I’ll consider entering.
:D
@TheTomcatters
@KettleKip nice!
Cool! Here is the cockpit:
here
@TheTomcatters
@KettleKip as long as its a fighter
Could this also be a next gen fighter? Cause i might enter this with the QD-18Y i just started
