M810 AAV Amtrack
The M810 AAV is a Paternian amphibious assault vehicle, commonly referred to as an "amtrack". It is specifically designed to support amphibious landings, and as such, is fully amphibious. Unlike the wheeled M22 Throughbreed and M125 APC, which are amphibious but only seaworthy in riverine or calm, insular waters, the M810 is designed to operate in Sea State 5 (Rough seas, waves of 2.5-4m high). Although its high silhouette makes it more vulnerable to attack than the other machines, it is not designed for extended inland operations, as such duties are better suited for the wheeled M22 and tracked M125. Despite this limitation, it is considered a vital component to the Paternian Marine Corps arsenal for its use in amphibious assaults.
