29th January 2022 Caproni Porcopino 3.5
Introduction
Well I know I said that i wasnt going to be as prolific on my builds as in the past... BUT i got bored and got thinking about some random styles that i haven't yet built =) So in the last few years i have watched a few Studio Ghibli films, some for the first time, some for the first time since i was a kid. Porco Rosso and The Wind Rises have some awesome artwork based on real aircraft, i sort of put my own twist on something that i feel could have existed in the Porco Rosso world.
A high wing inverse gull cranked monoplane with booms, 3 radial engines and floats, what could be cooler...
Designed to be able to takeoff around 60kts, max speed to be less than 200kts and manoeverable enough to be fun in line with the fictional nature of the build.
Oh and i wanted to call it porcupine due to the guns pointing out everywhere, it was just a flue that the italian translation was so cool!
Controls
AG1-3 = Engine start/stop
VTOL rotates 2 turrets (not expecting them to hit anything but it was something..)

This is wonderful! It perfectly captures the whimsical nature of Caproni and Savoia.
Flies beautifully and is a joy to look at, at least on my device it has a slight tilt in the right wing
reminds me of the lundsor seajumper
I like this plane alot! Maybe you could consider joining my latest challenge?
