NOTES:
- Aircraft yaws to the right during takeoff. Be attentive on using the yaw.
- Fuel tanks can be replaced by explosive ordnance or removed altogether for better attack or fighter capability is needed, in exchange for less flight range.
- DO NOT suddenly pitch down, especially in low altitudes. Doing so momentarily flips the aircraft into a reverse stall, which can be solved by contant pulling up on the stick until the aircraft returns to stable flight.
From a letter found in a barnyard where the first prototype of the A-01 was allegedly built, translated from German:
I designed Genesis along with Hans, Drake, and some of their friends, I admit I don't personally know, as a private venture. We had our shares of complaints against the aircraft we used in the Great War. They just, didn't feel fast anymore. They were thin-walled as paper. They didn't fly high enough. We wanted to go faster. Higher. Stronger.
We designed this in mind as a fighter that was to be king of the skies. To provide, superiority in the air. Made of steel, mounting the best guns around, and burly. This was a compromise to the speed that we wanted, so we called up on some more friends that built and managed aircraft engines. A custom-made ten-cylinder radial engine was created specifically for the Genesis' requirements, so that it can still be fast despite the weight that the guns and the material of the frame would add.
Our work started in 1935, but it took us until three years later to make its maiden flight. We noticed the trends. Monoplanes are being shown in a light of favor, retractable undercarriages, guns mounted in the wings themselves. All of us in the team realized, the Genesis wasn't going to be a revolutionary breakthrough in aviation history. But we had to try. We still pushed the design on as a proposal to the Ministry.
It was considered obselete in their standards, but our only consolation is that they considered it for trainer and recon duty. But something tells me, they'll someday use the Genesis as an unconventional brawler in the sky.
Will it be a king of the skies as we envisioned, in a war it doesn't belong to? Will it be a bomber that will ruthlessly destroy what's below? Will it serve in duties less dangerous but just as essential? Or will it be forgotten, left to crumble in the sands of time?
Time can only tell. All I know is that war is in the horizon, and the nation calls for our names.
