DH.60 Gipsy Moth
The de Haviland Moth apeared in many variants, and is sometimes difficult to identify which varient a Moth is. The origional was powered by a 60HP cirrus 1 engine. In 1928 a model with split axel landing gear and 90HP was introduced, but the extra weight led de Haviland to develope the 100HP gipsy engine. The newly epuiped Moth had then been designated the DH.60G, but soon was knows world-wide as the Gipsy Moth. The Gipsy Moth quickly broke records for speed, altitude, endourance, and maintenence free operation. A favorite of long-distance fliers and recreational pilots, by 1929 it was estimated that 85% of all planes were a moth of some type
To fly: throttle up and put VTOL 1 notch up. It lifts off itself so don't worry
