M1 Heavy Assault Car
Note: turrets have a chance to be broken. For me whether they work or not seems to be random. Story: Introduced in 1943, the M1 was made to maneuver around tight areas at high speeds to reach vantage points that can be used to destroy tanks. Weighing 67 tons, the vehicle was pretty average for something armored, but light for its large size. Unlike most armored vehicles, the interior is fully walkable yet cramped. Crew enter on two doors to the sides. In regards to its offensive capabilities, it is armed with a 7.62mm Browning M1919 machine gun in a ball turret to cut down infantry. It is also armed with a power 100mm gun with a very fast automatic loading system that fires at 40rpm. In regards to its defensive capabilities, it has pretty thin armor that can be taken down by even light tanks. However it’s pretty immune to small arms fire, only being able to be pierced through sustained fire on a certain spot or being hit at an angle that doesn’t cause the bullet to bounce off the armor. This was pretty easy to do considering its blocky shape, but it would have been no use trying to hit the engine or a crewman, as they were protected by curved/sloped armor and the wheels. Speaking of the wheels, they’re just as bulletproof as the armor. Yes, the tires are reinforced with a thin layer of steel and supported by a metal frame so that they don’t have to be pumped. The only way to destroy them is hitting their rivets, which is an easy task for a good shot or a lucky shot. All and all, its main purpose is to get into concealed spots by maneuvering around tight areas at high speeds in order to trap and destroy enemy tanks, which it did well. A tactic used by its divisions was to select targets and fire simultaneously, as stated before, a single tank shot could easily destroy it no matter where it was hit. Despite this drawback, it was beyond effective at destroying tanks due to its very powerful gun.
