Aiko's Flying Scooter
**READ BEFORE FLYING!**
Instructions for takeoff:
1.) Hit G to activate landing gear. (This is tied to the deployment of the wings.)
2.) Press AG-2 to deploy your primary wings.
3.) Apply full throttle.
4.) Lift off at 100+ mph
5.) Press AG-1 to deploy secondary propeller and vertical stabilizer.
Instructions for landing:
1.) Reduce throttle to 30% on approach to runway.
2.) Try to keep your speed at between 120 and 150 MPH while descending.
3.) DO NOT REDUCE TO 0% THROTTLE!!!!
4.) Deactivate AG 1 and 2
5.) Lower your landing gear.
6.) Just before touching down, hit AG-1 to stow the vertical stabilizer
7.) Brake hard right after step 6. Leave your primary wings extended until you come to a stop.
For Emergency Landing and Over-Revving Warnings:
There is a parachute installed for emergencies. If you get a warning that your engines are over-revving, deploy the chute with AG-4. It will save your life! Retract your vertical stabilizer while you descend. Leave primary wings deployed until safely on the ground. Do not throttle up while chute is deployed.
Aiko is fully articulated. Her bracing leg will be tucked in and she will curl up at full throttle. At 0% throttle she's in her resting position. Her head will turn with your stick controls.
I tested the design without any ailerons for rolls with just the steering of the scooter. It worked but it was very difficult to manage.
I know it's a very particular aircraft, but there will be some obvious quirks when working with such an unconventional design. Hope you enjoy!
