This is a Do It Yourself train - comes with no locomotive. At one time, the SR&RR was the largest 2ft gauge railroad in America. A man from Massachusetts came with the idea, being inspired by the ffestionog railroad in Wales. The railroad was closed in the 1920s from bankruptcy. The railroad had over 200 miles of rail - And was helped by Maine Central.
