LAT-1 (Light Advanced Trainer-1; NATO reporting-name: "Lioth"), next generation of trainer plane to help pilots bridge from propeller plane to jet plane. With maximum speed of 390 mph we see a lot of improvement on the engine compared to its prototype (350 mph). High stability yet agile help pilots accustomed with jet planes characteristics but with relative same speed with prop plane. The designer change his mind about ability of conversion to light CAS mission after reviewing the performance tests, instead it add 2 smoke nozzles to give the ability as acrobatic plane. Experimental is gone from the name and now is the production line rolling. STOL capability also make it a good trainer for future advanced carrier-based airplanes. Installed with parachute for shorter landing capability and a generous amounts of beacon lights to help landing in unfavorable conditions (heavy fog, night day), it's never been this easy to land with jet plane.
