B-12C Navy Striker
B-12 California Navy Striker
• Created by Boeing in partnership with the US Navy, the B-12 California Navy Striker, was developed in 1942 during the Pacific War, and it was created as a counterpoint to Japanese ships.
• Not very effective in air battles but quite effective in naval attacks, having a torpedo and two medium bombs, plus six .50 Machine Guns.
• Reaching a maximum speed of 343 km/h and also being able to fly even small aircraft carriers, known as "Blue Angel", was a great ally against the Japanese ships, even though it did not have much armament due to limitations in its design.
• But before becoming a Naval Striker, it was a US aerobatics plane, which was soon modified and many claimed to be a copy of the British Spitfire, even though the speed of the two is different and even in design.
• It was decommissioned in 1955 shortly after the Korean War, many speculate that none of them has been overthrown, even though the sources are quite suspicious.
