Hemocyte
The Hemocyte (so called not for actual abilities, but the marked tendency in it's pilots to heavily use red tones in their paint schemes) was the first CIR warplane to incorporate a tractor engine in line with the pilot. A foray into the world of fighter aircraft created by an aeronautics collective with previous experience on the Window Shades' derivatives, this aircraft was a reply to the Stabber, which had proven capable of inflicting serious casualties on CIR daylight bombing raids to the point where the aircrews would often refuse targets near their bases.
In spite of it's unaerodynamic look, brought about by putting a higher priority to maneouverability and lifting capability over pure speed, it's speed is still comparable to a more conventional fighter's while being capable of escorting even a Venetian Blinds deep into enemy territory. Usually, Hemocythes would operate by dividing in two groups: one would hunt for enemy fighters and the other would stay to protect the bombers. Even though it only entered service late into the war, that didn't stop it from overshadowing the Arrow in popular consciousness in the CIR's population, and it's still a common aeroplane to see in conmemorative air shows.
