Ok so this one isn't quite as crisp...
But it is a much lower part count!
The Minerva-class Flight II is an air defence variant of the original Flight I Minerva, intended to complement the anti-surface and anti-submarine capabilities of the original vessel with enhanced air defence capabilities beyond that of the original vessels.
Equipped with a permanent hanger for a single medium-lift helicopter, a large radar array and with the number of strike-length VLS reduced from forty-eight to thirty-two, with sixteen tactical-length VLS forward of the bridge and the 203mm LSNGS main gun reduced to a single-mount 76mm naval gun.
Although these adaptations give the vessel significantly enhanced air defence capabilities, these come at the cost of eliminating the main benefits of the Minerva-class, namely the very long-ranged main gun and cheap procurement cost, whilst lacking the internal volume and weight margins to accommodate the proper command and control facilities necessary for the role of air defence ship. As such, very fewer examples were built and these did not see extensive service, with the Saltwater Navy opting instead to improve the air defence capabilities of the regular Flight I vessels.
Regardless, the Flight II Minerva was a major development of the vessel that demonstrated the ability of the hull to support a ship capable of independent operations, with enough available top-weight to allow for more routine helicopter operations, which eventually led to the development of the Flight IA, B and C variants of Minerva-class that continue to serve to this day.
Controls:
AG3+TRIM+VTOL operates the main gun.
THRUST+YAW to control the ship.
