Lavotchkin La-250 Anakonda
( English version at the bottom of the page )

English version .
In January 1954, the Soviet authorities published specifications for a single-seat supersonic interceptor, armed
only air-to-air missiles, possessing a very large autonomy, commensurate with the size of the Soviet territory, and capable of
evolve at very high altitude. He received the code name of K-15. The first flight of the La-250 took place on July 16, 1956, with Andrei Grigorevich Kochetkov
the controls . But as soon as he took off, he noticed roll fluctuations before losing control of the aircraft. He cut the engines
and had to land on the belly. On simulator, the four of the best test pilots of the USSR had (fictitiously) crashed on takeoff.
Instead of giving up, the Lavochkin team decided to use the new simulator to improve control of the aircraft.
The flight test program continued intensively: only one flight took place in 1956, there will be 6 in 1957, and 14 in 19584. All the problems
were not resolved. The engines were unreliable and could go out in flight. Several "crashes" took place, caused by the hydraulic system
or the landing gear in addition to the engine problems. The Anaconda tests were stopped while the plane was finally considered valid.
But the various problems, accidents and delays had discouraged the Soviet air force, which, in the face of lack of progress, pronounced abandonment
of the project in 1959. The competitor of the La-250, Tupolev Tu-28, was more successful and was selected for production.
Speed and maneuverability according to the actual plane. Compensate for the rudder during taxi .

Very nice! I am working on the experimental missiles that it would have had. I can eventually give them to you.
@Toooooomp , am testing your Venom in flight . He is very nice and especially handy . Very nice construction .
