McDonnell Douglas FA-18D Hornet
Introducing the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18D Hornet, a two-seat variant of the Legacy Hornet.
This design is a modification of the F/A-18 Hornet by EngineerOtaku with a tandem seat layout, air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons and other new features. I worked on enhancing its capabilities and and gave it some of the best possible solutions to make it work. It uses AIM-7M Sparrows, AIM-9M Sidewinders as it was during the 1991 Gulf War, along with one JDAM (which was introduced in 1997) and one GBU-10 Paveway II for ground targets.
New Features Includes:
1. Two-seats for Pilot and Weapons Systems Officer.
2. Low visual paint scheme.
3. A hydraulic piston for raising the main cockpit view when the landing gears are down and catapult launch bar.
4. New fly-by-wire system derived from the F/A-18E Super Hornet.
5. A LANTIRN Pod on the left of the fuselage made by TheGreatOneinTF.
The Same Main Controls and Activation Groups:
A & D = Ailerons
W & S = Elevators
Q & E = Rudder
AG1 = Arrestor Hook
AG2 = Folding Wings
AG3 = Flaps Down
AG4 = Air Brake
AG5 = Jettison Centerline Fuel Tank
AG6 = Drop Those Tax Payer Funded Weapons Systems
AG7 = Retract The Catapult Launch Bar
AG8 = Master Arm and Activate AOA Limiter
VTOL Down = Locks the control surfaces into position
Trim = For Trim Controls
Landing Gear = Gears and Cockpit Raiser
Brake = Aerodynamic Deflection Rudders (Useful to make tighter turns in a dogfight)
