When it rolled out into the sun on that tarmac, people were impresed from the beginning. Interceptor was the word on the street. The people loved it, and the enemy’s bomber crews had it in their nightmares. The F-3 TwinFin, a jet powered bomber destroyer, was armed to the teeth for aerial interception. China had begun an unprovoked war campaign against us nearly two and a half years earlier. (Our little cold war had warmed up if you will) Their mass bombing campaigns had little effect on our country, but they became of mild annoyance when one landed in the living room of some poor soul. Thankfully it was a dud. Poor feller did lose his reclining chair though. Anyways, thats not the point. Trojan Aerospace and Defense (my fictional company) had already been developing a solution to the bomber crisis since the day it started. They knew it had to fly faster and higher than current Trojan aircraft, and it needed to deal with any aircraft it encountered. Enter the TwinFin. The government ordered a batch of ten for testing, and they proved rather succesful. Complementing anti air defenses, the pressure on the enemies bombers cranked up ten fold. Armed with four missles, two cannons, and two heavy machine guns, and 150 countermeasure flares, it shredded bomber formations and still had enough fight left to tango with fighter escourts. Pilots performed hit and run tactics, and after every run you saw fire start descending from the heavens. This fire, called steel rain by ground forces, was actually scores of crippled enemy aircraft falling from the sky. Heck, the bomber wrecks broke more stuff than their bombs did on some nights. What goes up must come down I suppose. Every night, night after night, missles were fired, guns blazed, and twisted steel fell. In the morning, stories came from around the country side of downed chinese aircraft. Locals formed miltias to chase any survivors. However, not many air crew survived the impacts. A few survived the gun runs, but nearly no

@TrojanAircraftSystems lol, you're fine! I'll try my best to remember to test 'er out. Also, are you typing it through the submission page, or through the website? If you are doing it through the former, that is likely why it keeps getting cut out

@LieutenantSOT sorry me lost me temper. I’ve had a long week. I completly understand if it doesn’t get allowed into the challenge, it was on me that it ain’t a succesor. However, technology is what screwed me over. I had an entire story.
