X-305 / P-105 Thunder
Fictional Interceptor
The Thunder was expected to replace the Minuteman and Hawk as a homeland interceptor and forward air fighter. It is a twin-engine, a layout scantly seen in Concord's air forces. A large radar and long-range missiles paired with powerful engines and a relatively sleek airframe make the Thunder a formidable long-range interceptor. The aircraft retains some of the modest maneuverability of its predecessors, plus guns and IR missiles, which allows for merges with enemy fighters and bomber formations
