Volatus EK-2
The Volatus EK-2 was made as a twin-seat, all-weather combat trainer based on the EK-1. It sports the characteristic colours of the Arubi Air Force and an understated aesthetic, indicating that it's not fighting, it's just training. Red accents were added as to be detected and identified visually by other trainees.
Development:
After the sucess of the EK-1, a trainer variant was necessary to aid pilots adapt to the aircraft, replacing the T-38 Talons that Arubi operated previously. The EK-2 was forged out of the EK-1 by lowering and deepening the cockpit, extending it slightly and by reinforcing the canopy with dual opening hoops per seat and two forward struts, reducing the neckbreaking agility of the EK-1 to a more manageable one, the removal of the afterburner stage, the revamp of the inlets and a new rudder with more rudder authority.

This aircraft features custom control surfaces, automatic stability control, autopilot friendliness (if engaged at low speeds and then sped up, in that order) and mobile friendliness to a degree.
