Notes

This aircraft was made as a contestant for Theinfinite's Fighter jet challenge. It's a lil goofy on takeoff and landing so dont mind that. My first jet with actually good looking and well functioning gear doors! Made it a drone because I didn't know what to do for the canopy.

Lore?

The TPC. Dynamics MFQX-31D 'Eclipse' is an American lightweight intercepting drone designed to escort bombers and to intercept aerial threats. The Eclipse was first conceptualized in 2004 shortly after the MQ-9 'Reaper' and was eventually put into service in 2009, just 2 years after the MQ-9. The Eclipse proved to be effective in quickly dispatching to intercept incoming aerial threats. Though it lacks in maneuverability and stall speed, it makes up for it in high acceleration, and a cheap and lightweight airframe.

Features

The Eclipse uses a trapezoidal design on all of its lifting components to ensure good aerodynamic performance and high lift. It uses twin after-burning engines for maximum thrust and acceleration. For armament it uses two 20mm Auto cannons mounted on either side of the aircraft, as well as two MLRX-53 'Bolt' Fox 3 missiles, used on the TPC. Dynamics FBX-87F 'Skyblitz'. For ground strike operations it is capable of carrying a single 250lb Bomb along with the 2 missiles, but is also capable of carrying 3 air to ground ordinance if the missiles are replaced.
