Group 1 for Gun turret - camera 1
Group 2 for AA turret - camera 2.
Cockpit is mounted on a range finder, group 3.
All aiming is done with roll and pitch (mouse control)
Steering is with Yaw.
Trim up for opening the missile bay doors.
The ship is capable of missile combat and equipped with missiles. Easiest way would be using the range finder (cockpit, group 3)
Carries 8 "air to ground" (in this case ground to ground) and 8 "Air to air" (in this case ground to air)
IMPORTANT. Before launching any ground to ground/air to ground/ attacking ground targets with missiles, open the missile bay doors or the ship will explode. anti-air missile combat is ok.

@BaylorM Well, I wanted it to be atleast slightly different than the original, this way I can cover up my mistakes by claiming artistic :D. Plus, I like Asymmetry.
Also, there is vector thrust, but the angels it goes sideways to is pretty low and the effect minimal. You can actually see it if you spawn on ground.
USS independence? A couple things weren't mirrored, also it's hard to aim the AA missiles. Also the real one has vectoring thrust on the "water jet things", maybe some hidden weapons. just suggestions if you make a second one. Anyway, cool ship, surprised it's not featured yet.

@Ichko scaling the cockpit to be short (length = 0.125) gives you a lock-on circle of almost 180 degrees, Then you don't need to point a gun at the target to aim missiles. On the other hand, you can make a custom crosshair for the gun. Also, Boom25 gun would be more realistic. You can find it on my recent ships, complete with crosshair. Try to copy that trick if you want. And VTOL + trim controls for the turret are a lot more accurate. VLS's can open on LandingGear input.
@EternalDarkness It was a matter of compromise. If the cockpit was on the gun as I initial intended, aiming missiles at aircraft would mean the gun going vertical and my previous ship design had the cockpit in the gun so I was trying something new as well.
Very nice, especially for such a low number of parts. There are a few things I don't like, like pointing a gun with mouse, and cockpit not being on the gun to provide cross hair, but that's a matter of personal taste. Good job buddy.
