MiH-24G "Akula"

The MiH-24 is a medium to long range multi role assault helicopter for the Wzehkh Army and airforce. Even though made to fit the needs of the Wzehkh military, it is used by a number of nations.

Q/A kinda

The MiH-24G is an interesting beast, and yes I mean beast.
So the Mih-24 Akula international destination "Gorp" was designed for the purpose of being a assault helicopter.
Over all capable of doing it's job quite well. Having a maximum troop load of 6 and a maximum carry weight of 21,400 pounds.

So what's the G for?
The G model Akula was designed with the intention of serving the army as a designated "specialty helicopter" but after the army rejected it in favor of the IG-12G, the prototype was shown to airforce general Karman Grovsky Mahhk. Shortly after seeing it in action the general order 500 as a "trial run" and after using them in the Frosky Revolt (1981-1984) the airforce would inquire 1,500 additional models by the year 1999.
Well needless to say in the 2020s the airforce is still waiting on 900 of the 1,500 models. Which due to manufacturer issues it's seen that the order won't be finished till mid 2033.

But what does the International Court (IC) consider a "assault helicopter"
Well a "prominently weapons based helicopter with troop carry abilities" as stated in the IC
regulated Classification of Vehicles, Vessels, and Aircraft. Chapter 18, page 508 (IC-RCVVA/c18-p508)
still vague so what is it exactly? Well essentially a attack heli with troop carry abilities. Like a AH-64 with a troop bay. But don't confuse this with utility helicopters with guns.

*History of MiH-24G - 24656*

The airframe for this heli was made in the late 1980s. Serving under two previous assault heli squadrons until finally finding it's home in 787th Guards assault helicopter support wing (787th GAHSW) where the two pilots Capt Jaworski Emile Czasami, and Capt Korkabov Cellia Mnovsky, would name it after there favorite video game "Hare" and would paint below it a common meme from said game. The "Hare" or officially dubbed Blue 656 would see combat in two places: the Chevhosky Revolt (2020-2021) then the invasion of Forbosk (2022-2024) the Blue 656 is currently in its invasion of Forbosk livery.
Shortly after the Invasion of Forbosk both pilots would receive the Prime minister Gorborov Medal the highest Military award for extreme acts of bravery and heroism in the line of duty
Sadly Jaworski would die of cancer caused due to radiation exposure (RIP Capt Jaworski Emile Czasami 2000-2026)
Korkabov would go on to serve his nation Wzehkhastan till 2027 when the death of his friend became to much and he left military service. He would then start a farm and family on the country side and live his years out there.

Blue 656 was scraped soon after Korkabov's resignation although out of respect for Jaworski and Korkabov the airforce general Rammishk G Kyeff would send Korkabov thw peice of the airframe that said "Hare" as that was all that was left thet the general could find.
