Pummeler A-1B
VTOL up to control air brakes. VTOL down to control flaps. It's back. The Pummeler. The plane that refuses to retire. A Pummeler Attack Mk 2 with XML modded flaps. This means with a full combat load, it can still take off of the USS Tiny. Production has been restarted for the first time in 20 years due to a large number of requests from commanders on the ground. While it will have largely the same airframe save the inclusion of flaps, it has a glass cockpit with multi-function liquid crystal displays and a few backup instruments. It retains the eight K-28 machine guns which gave it such excellent strafing abilities. It also incorporates an additional 600 pounds of titanium armor around the cockpit for additional pilot protection.

@Tristam Oh. I figured it was either #TheRamey# and TheRemsey. Derp.
@Tristam Oh. I figured it was either TheRamey and TheRemsey. Derp.
and its TheRemesy
@Pilotmario
Yeah! someone remembered!
@Tristam TheRamsey?
Check out your BKR 425 performance review
Well, do you remember what my last username was before I deleted it?
@Tristam We have recently phased out the Pummeler in active service. However, it will continue use in the Reserve Air Force.
If I make a extremely less detailed yet much better version of the pummeler will you continue the series of planes? The bkr 750 (Remember it) will destroy you if you don't, we used up all of the space for upgrades, even added a jet for increased speed! Still a taildragger though
For places that need an army, but are of lower priority. @JakeTheDogg
@JakeTheDogg Yep.
It's still in the Reserve Air Force.
@Pilotmario Attacking Goombas
@MikuKat lol
@Pilotmario Haha
if only i had Super Mario Maker i would make a Pummeler xD
@MikuKat Thanks! It's an evolution of one of the first planes I made! The definition of releasing the same thing over and over again and hoping people don't get bored of it!
Because if it works for Activision and Nintendo, then I guess it works for me!
That is amazing!
Certainly. @SimpleTechAndResearch
Fun to attack the beast with!!
@DragonAerotech The Pilotmario Air Force loves that thing to death. It is the symbol of the Pilotmario Air Force's might, and its mere presence have been instrumental to many engagements with hostile forces. Friendly forces call it the Hog. And when the Hog speaks, all others listen.
@Pilotmario Finally DL'd the old Pummeler and was really impressed by her performance. She's not the fastest thing on the block but she's pretty stable as a gunnery and rocket platform. The use of the T2000 also makes her far more fuel efficient than the Carnivore which uses the Turboprop T3000s. I think I'll be going back to using contra-rotating T1000s with my DragA prop designs - and definitely adding flaps! The flaps, applied slightly in flight after overflying a target, helps to enhance the turn radius. It's 8 .50 cal guns can unload 56 rounds per second on a target, while I think the Carnivore's 20 mm minigun was only upgraded to 30 rounds per second. (Double the normal rate of fire but half the time between bursts.) The only, and this is a tiny advantage, is that the Carnivore is a little faster and can jettison its rocket pods to gain more speed and enhance its maneuverability if it winds up targeted by SAMs or enemy fighters. I can see why you've more or less stuck with this design for so long! (I still need to check out your' A-10 clone. XD)
@Pilotmario Four wars, wot.
It was the deadliest warplane in the Pilotmario Air Force against ground targets in all four wars. The Pummeler in the First War was rarely used as an attack plane by Air Force units, though Navy and Marine Corps pilots used Pummeler Fighters as effective dive bombers on a regular basis. Surveys in the Olympian Army across all wars showed that of all sounds, the most damaging to morale was the sound of a Pummeler's engine. @SimpleTechAndResearch
Pummeler=The Death Of all enemies (At least in the First Olympian war)
@DragonAerotech The Pummeler was based on a P-47 model, the first thing I uploaded here. Interestingly, in the movie "The Longest Day", US Navy Skyraiders stood in for P-47 Thunderbolts.
The Pummeler was originally designed as a fighter aircraft. During the First War, she proved exceptionally lethal with her speed and eight .50 caliber K-28 machine guns. However, it was soon realized with jet technology that the Pummeler was obsolete as a fighter, and she was converted into an attack aircraft. However, Pummelers continued to prove lethal to the overconfident pilot; during the Second War and Third War, there are anecdotal and official reports of Pummelers bringing down attack helicopters, attack planes, and even a few fighter jets flown by pilots who were suckered into turn fights.
When the Olympians began low-level night attacks, some Pummeler Attack were converted into ad-hoc fighters equipped with a low-level radar pod and Guardian missiles in order to counter them. In this role, they continue to serve as anti-intruder aircraft.
And I've seen the toilet bomb before. It's hilarious.
