Mercedes Benz Arocs 3245 (LEGO)
Warning: Wall of text incoming!!! Read at own risk!!!
Note: Sorry for being inactive, but I should be posting more very soon.
So this is what I've been working on for the last three weeks or so. This is based off a LEGO set which is based off the Mercedes Benz Arocs 3245, which is a huge truck used in the construction sector. I know it doesn't look like a three-week-in-the-making build, but I faced loads of difficult challenges and I was kinda tinkering with the new parts a bit too. Anyway let's get to the controls.
Group 1:
Pitch- accelerate/reverse
Yaw- steering
VTOL- outrigger extension
Trim- outrigger deployment
Group 2:
VTOL- boom elevation (joint 1)
Trim- boom elevation (joint 2)
Throttle- boom extension
Pitch- clamp opening/closing
Group 3:
VTOL- dump da dump bed
Trim- crane rotation
Throttle- unlock floppy thingymajig at the back
Group 5:
VTOL- cabin tilting
Trim- open doors
Note: cabin has full interior + working pedals lights and steering wheel.
Note 2: tilting the cabin exposes the engine, which is a mini replica of that of the real thing. It's a bit difficult to see, so there's a camera next to it. Also, the fan on the front spins when you accelerate.
Group 5: night mode/sirens (secondary lights turn on/more lights in the cabin)
Group 6: indicate left
Group 7: indicate right
Group 8: primary headlights/brake lights
There's a few people I would like to thank that made this build possible:
-Warscheinlichich (Mercedes Benz logo)
-ElgatoVolador (infinitely spinning small rotator)
-Komuhachi (pretty much all the scaled parts)
Phew, finally I can have a rest from typing this....
I hope you enjoy this build because I put a lot of thought and effort into this beast. I know it's not perfect, ( it should have more ground clearance, for example) but I'm still very proud of it.Feedback and upvotes would be highly appreciated.
