Flexwing Hang Glider: Proof of Concept

4.4 years ago
This is a design I've been tinkering with for a while.
It is controlled solely through weight shift. The flex of the wing gives it stability and control. Though the authority is horrible...
big problem: adverse yaw and control authority.
Included controls:
G for landing position
I'm publishing this now because I've now studied the design of hang gliders and paragliders quite a bit and need to create a new design from scratch to test the ideas.
(I've also got an interesting challenge in mind which experimental builders will appreciate... ;) )

@mikoyanster Gracias!
@Ergi thanks!
@ jamesPLANESii thanks, funnily enough I hadn't thought of that much because modern hang gliders have very small dihedral!
Giving the wings negative dihedral helps with roll authority @MethaManAircraft
