When the War began for the Soviet Union, it was found that most of their fighters were getting antiquated, and with a desperate measure, this design was taken straight from the sketchbook of an eccentric Soviet aircraft designer and built to hold off the invasion. The aircraft's wooden construction made it poor for winter conditions so they were mostly sent to defend the southeastern Russian airspace, where they began encountering more Italian planes.

I made this plane mostly because someone in the SPBC had asked me to make a plane that had a centerline gun. Other reasons included the >event thing, not many Soviet planes in my list of aircraft, and that I keep making radial engine planes. This thing in all it's basics is a mashup of the Yak-1 and the LaGG-3, and incorporates two high rate of fire ShKAS-equivalent guns and a single ShVAK-equivalent cannon, with appropriate tracer colors for each. I've also tried practicing with inline engine detail, and with some ideas with paint (though not too happy with the paint on this thing). The plane has flaps and has excellent speed, though only okay-ish maneuverability. I'd personally like to see people make different paint schemes with this plane especially. Anyways, have fun shredding enemies with this plane!
