The 737 began to be designed in 1964, made its first flight in 1967,[3] and entered service on February 10, 1968 with Lufthansa. It has ten variants, which are; 737-100, 737-200, 737-200 Advanced, 737-300, 737-400, 737-500, and Next Generation (NG) series (-600, -700, -800 and -900) still in production.
