Flettner Fl 282

5.6 years ago
Auto Credit Based on NecoArcBubbles's Flettner Fl 282
A complete rework of an old build. Considering doing this sort of thing with more of them.
Additions include:
Updated to 1.8 rotors
Cockpit
Fixed performance
Visual overhaul
Notes:
It takes a little time to take off, put throttle all the way up and be patient.
AG 1 activates collective pitch. Use it to help with takeoff and landing. Be careful as leaving the pitch all the way down for too long will cause overspeed.
The Flettner Fl 282 Kolibri ("Hummingbird") is a single-seat intermeshing rotor helicopter, or synchropter, produced by Anton Flettner of Germany.

I'm not very clear on controls, what does VTOL, WASD and AG1 do?
@IStoleYourMeme thank you for your permission, I have successfully made it fly (by using gyroscopes) and it has been uploaded, check it out when you get the chance (I don’t know if it could take off from runways, I just tested it in the air)
@ShermanFirefly Sure
@IStoleYourMeme permission to attempt to make an airplane out of this and upload? (I won’t upload if it doesn’t work, and I will if it does and I have your permission)
the rotors should be angled to either side. Other than that pretty kewl.
The handling is very good.
Yay your back.
great
