Hello everyone
Version 1.0
This is is BELUGA
The Airbus Beluga XL is a wide?body transport aircraft based on the A330 Neo airliner, which is intended to replace the Airbus Beluga. The XL model has a similar fuselage extension in the upper part to the previous model.
The development, construction and operation is carried out by Airbus, for the transportation of oversized aircraft parts.
The project was launched in November 2014 in the amount of 6 boards, which will have 30% more capacity than the existing model. The XL is capable of delivering two A350 XWB wing consoles instead of one. The completion of the design work was announced on November 16, 2015. Final assembly began in 2017, and operation in 2019.
The aircraft made its first flight (test) on July 19, 2018, under the control of Captain Christophe Kehl, co-pilot Bernardo Saez-Benito Hernandez and flight engineer Jean Michel Pena. The plane took off and at 14:21 local time successfully landed on the runway of the airport in Toulouse-Blanchac, France, the flight lasted 4 hours and 11 minutes.
On January 9, 2020, the aircraft made its first operational flight as part of Airbus operations
