After the success of the A-3 the "A" company decided to experiment more in the realm of jets what came out was a interceptor with missles and a new gun. it saw massive success as an interceptor in the Aumarkian Air Force taking down over 190 bombers in its service life. it was not comepletly retired when the lightning II came out however after more advances in tech the A-4 saw retirement and was replaced by new fighter and interceptor designs thus putting an end to its service life
