This variant of the GI. 4-3 Super Salamander was designed for high speed recon. This aircraft was a product of a secret project ran alongside the GI. Series, the X project. The project utilized a high speed highly experimental engine. The only flaws with the secret aircraft that cost the project's funding were design flaws such as the extreme stress on the wings after reaching speeds of 3000 mph and fuel consumption and placement. Because of these major flaws the project was discontinued in 2015.
