@TheNightmare811 that's what I'm debating may get a big block engine. Not sure though yet.

@landspeedcreator Yep, I'd look for something in the £130-£200 range and then sell the internals if they're electric, and buy a nitro engine.

@landspeedcreator Very nice! 1:8 is huge, considering that I run a 1:18 Wltoys A959 (with more than £95 worth of parts added). In fact, the original chassis was a replica of that of my buggy, but I've uploaded a built version. Nitro seems to be the way to go though, but the fuel is more expensive than simply charging a lipo.

@TheNightmare811 I do enjoy My flux 1:8 RTR maverick desert wolf. But the lipos don't last long using 5000 mah. Last 20-30mins depending what settings I'm using. But I may consider a hpi pulse RTR nitro not sure yet.

Very cool idea, the only problem being that this isn't a combustion engine, therefore you'd need a higher voltage of battery and/or esc as well as possibly a new motor. However, your idea could be put into place as a cooling system for the motor, so I'll assume it gives you a longer lasting run before cooldown, unless the battery runs out before then.
