Lore of the RQ-13A HelShtorm

The RQ-13A HelShtorm was developed in the early 2040s by Northrop Grumman to replace close air support aircraft like the A-10. Larger than the Global Hawk, it featured a low aspect wing-body design, V-tail and a high-efficiency turbofan engine, giving it over 40 hours of endurance.

It had 9 heavy hardpoints for JDAMs and Hellfires, plus 4 twin-pylon hardpoints for AIM-9s and AIM-120s, giving it air-to-ground and air-to-air capability. Its advanced AESA radar and EO/IR targeting made it highly accurate and resilient to jamming.

A controversial test involved equipping it with a 9-kiloton nuclear depth charge for anti-submarine warfare. The test was successful but raised political and strategic concerns.

The program was canceled in the late 2040s due to rising costs, political pushback over autonomous nuclear delivery, and advances in drone swarms and hybrid platforms. A few prototypes were stored, and its technology influenced future designs.

I forgot but there is a special weapon for the drone, a depth charge.. nuclear. Drop it by using 1 if your targeting the sea and turn it off after if your bombing on land.

    Controls:
Activate 1 to drop with parachute
Activate then deactivate 1 to cancel parachute
