Boeing B-29 Superfortress
The B-29 “Superfortress” needs little introduction (still, if interested; https://www.militaryfactory.com/aircraft/detail.asp?aircraft_id=82)... there are quite a few of these on SP already, so I wanted one as well. Nothing fancy; just the standard version as they flew out of Saipan or Tinian toward the end of WWII, with a conventional bomb load.
(controls below the pics)
Controls;
• VTOL for flaps
• Trim does exactly what it says
• AG1 : nose wheel unlock for taxi
• AG2 : switch controls to gun turrets (more about this below)
• AG3 : open bomb bay doors
• AG4 : drop 9x 500 Lbs bomb
• AG5 : drop 9x 500 Lbs bomb
• AG6 : drop 4x 2000 Lbs bomb
• AG7 : lights
• AG8 : switch off engine smoke trails
Armament (for this build): 10x .50 machine gun in remote-controlled turrets, plus one 20 mm cannon for the tail gunner -and a full load of 18x 500 Lb bombs in the front bay and 4x 2000 Lbs in the rear. Needless to say she’s a bit heavy on takeoff and needs every meter of runway at Wright.
Bombing: I didn’t bother fiddling with bomb sights… the custom bombs don’t fall “right”, but when using SP’s standard targeting and after onle a single test run I managed to hit the “beast” from 6000 ft, so bombing the ** out of something isn’t all that difficult. You can drop the bombs one by one by hitting “ALT” lots of times with the correct bomb type selected, or you can shove them out in 3 neat packages using AG4, 5 and 6.
Gun turrets: with AG2 activated, the plane’s pitch & yaw controls will become unresponsive since they’ll be used for the gun turret control; AG2 also activates a gyro to keep the plane somewhat level during your gunnery practice. At any gunner’s station, you will see that controls are activated when the aiming reticle lights up.
That’s about it. The build, I’m afraid, has no nice cockpit or interior views; I guess I spent too many parts on (ultimately useless) details, and adding more stuff will only make things worse for mobile users.
Have fun!

Extaordinary work
I’m on the phone and it does not work on the highest quality setting and I can take it off from bandit airport
Why is the plane so hard to fly
@XjayIndustrys yes bro
So laggy
@SimplyPlain why is the plane still so laggy when i reduce the parts to only 1100.is it because the drag or the scale? pls help
@ChisP and 300 feet wide lol
best b29 ive ever seen
@SimplyPlain ah wright is probably only 5000-6000
Haha,Idk when I will make one since bombers aren’t my thing, attackers and heavy gun’d interceptor planes are what I like to make, but it might come, I got a p-39 on its way!@SimplyPlain
@Diloph nobody's stopping you :D go right ahead... we can always use more B-29's.
@ChisP at Tinian they had runways 8000 ft long... and that was described as "barely adequate" for a loaded B-29. You could tweak the engines a bit of course -but that would be cheating ;) :p
Really hard to take off but idk what the max load and runway space are for this plane
I was about to make one.... nice though! 👍
Do you think you can attempt making a FW-200 Condor or an accurate B-17E? There doesn’t seem to be many Condor’s on here. (the website) Just a suggestion
Other than that, this is amazing. I love it
Truly amazing
Now this, this is perfection
:)
@SimplyPlain
Have you watched Mustards Flying Aircraft Carrier Video?
legit
2 P80 Shooting starts connect to the wings
and 1 Goblin fighter Connects to the bottom
Even the bell rocket plane
