Thrust 2 1983 Land Speed Record

8,146 KiVZ  5.5 years ago

The "Trust 2" is one of the few land vehicles in the world that can travel with more than 1000 kmh (621.37)mph)

The car was designed by John Ackroyd and driven by Richard Noble. On 4 October 1983 in Black Rock Desert in Nevada, the car reached a top speed of 650.88 mph (1,047.49 km/h) and broke the record at 633.468 mph (1,019.468 km/h) (average speed of two runs within one hour) It was the fastest land vehicle for 14 years when the Thrust SSC broke it's record. The thrust 2 is currently the 2nd fastest car ever and is going to go to the third place soon as the 1000 mph "Bloodhound SSC" is about to break the Land Speed Record in the next few years. Still, the Trust 2 Is an extraordinary piece of history that helped pushed the bundries of physics even further.

How to operate:

(I suggest spawning into yaeger airport)

  1. Throttle to 100%
  2. Make small steering inputs if needed (with ROLL)
  3. Once you hit 650 mph press AG 1 to release the braking chutes and hold down B for brakes
  4. Hopefuly you have come to a full stop.

I hope you enjoy, have fun driving!!
