AXI 17A Cougar Snake
The AXI 17A Cougar Snake (A=Advanced/ X=Experimental/ I=Intercptor) is a highly advanced Air To Ground based atacker aircraft to be launched off the HMS Queen Elizabeth and airfields. Its purely fictional.
Backstory: in 2005, the RAF and Royal navy needed a new interceptor aircraft. Lockheed Martin jumped in to help the NATO ally, as othee companies were busy with upgrades for the Typhoon, conception of the Tempest and other desings on their minds. On the middle of the project, the demands were changed for an Attacker (the name was kept to maintain familiarity with the project) instead of an Interceptor, as the EF - 2001B Storm was a capable interceptor. Lockheed reused the original concept with the pretext of the aircraft being a short range attacker, hence why the low fuel amounts. in 2024, the project was cancelled in favor of other aircrafts such as the F15XI and EF-2001B with only 1 prototype still standing.
