unfinished, not going to finish this
Use the right side console lighting panel to turn on the console lights and data entry display, the HUD is turned on with the HUD Brightness dial on the ICP. Some DED functionality is available through the ICP number pad, but its more for looks than anything. The MFDs are mostly functional, use the BRT button on the bottom left to adjust the brightness of the screens, I think its ~75% at default. The FCR screen is more for looks as no targets will appear there, the stores management system is pretty much fully functional.
the brightness works by having two separate labels overlayed, one is the basic white labels over everything, and the other (slightly above the white labels) is a green label with an emission of 100% which adjusts its alpha by converting an input (0-1) into hexidecimals giving the illusion of lighting. with this system its best to have as much as you can on the same label, as separate labels
unfortunately, the MFD and ICP take insane amounts of performance cost due to not being able to change the inputs on buttons, so a piston has to push/retract sets of buttons to use different inputs. it can get away with only using one label to display by technically displaying everything at the same time but everything has an alpha of 0 except the screen that needs to be displayed.
hopefully it doesn't melt your CPU

I ripped the cockpit out of 2Papi2Chulo's F16 build
