Carolean Avalonia Aerospace Corporation Stridsflygplan-33 "Eldfågel"

A carrier based lightweight single engine multirole fighter designed and developed by the Carolean Avalonia Aerospace Corporation for the Royal Avalonian Naval Air Forces. Despite its smaller frame, the Eldfågel is built to carry a vast array of light and heavy munitions to carry out various air supremacy, interception, close air support, long range strike missions, and reconnaissance missions.

The Eldfågel was introduced in 1988 for the Avalonian Naval Air Forces, and some later variants also entered the export market in 2001.

Maul Squadron

Maul Squadron is an elite Avalonian carrier based strike aircraft squadron on the RNS Odin. It is comprised of Gungnir Team, which performs long range strike operations with the Eldfågel, Huginn Team which performs reconaissance, and Muninn Team which provides protection from enemy aircraft. They are also given support aircraft depending on the mission, such as helicopters for closer range combat and anti-submarine warfare, light aerial refueling tankers, AEW/AWACS aircraft, and more.
