KYV Knyaz' Svobodivs'kyy (English: Duke of Svoboda) is a Dreadnought Battleship built by the Grand Navy in 1853. They were originally built for the new modernization program for the Grand Navy, but the arrival of Formidable made the creation a new enemy for this type. She was built during the Early years of the Great War of Coalitions.

Development

The Grand Navy imagined a new generation of large powerful battleships that will became the successor of the Pre-Dreadnoughts Battleship which are currently in service for all the Navies in Great Country. This was the plan of the Western Navies with the mastermind being the Imperial Sovereign Navy. The design was known as the God oformleniya 1850 g. which is armed with armament 12x 14 Inch Guns housed in 6 Turrets. It aimed with at least a top speed of 21 knots. The plan was laid down to the intelligence and was approved immediately and the construction was planned to begin in early 1853 and was expected to be seen in mid 1854 or late 1854, but the arrival Formidable rushed the production of the ship so the ship was laid down in November 1852 and was launched in early 1853. She was named Knyaz' Svobodivs'kyy after the former Duke of Svoboda who held the title.

Knyaz' Svobodivs'kyy was fully finished in Early February of the same year and started training in the 3rd week of February. She completed her trainings in the 1st week of March and was commissioned in the 2nd week of March and officially joined Monsetorri Fleet.
Upon commissioning, she was the most powerful Dreadnought existed until the arrival of König Markus der Große which were in service for the Imperial Sovereign Navy.

Characteristics

Knyaz' Svobodivs'kyy possessed a slim long Hull but was able to keep her Sea going abilities. She had a wide armoured conning tower located on the Fore section. She was also the first warship to mount the super firing turrets. She also possessed a wide bridge which had multiple compartments. She was armed with 12x 14 Inch Mk1 Guns housed in 6 Turrets. For her secondary, she was armed with 12x 5 inch dual mount Mk3 guns installed in both sides. For her power, she was installed with 20x Energiya i zhelezo built boilers which produces 32,000 hp. For her Propulsion, she had 4 steam turbine sets and 2 screws. She had a top speed of 21 knots and a range of 9,500 Nautical Miles.

Service History

Knyaz' Svobodivs'kyy made her combat debut on the First Battle of Monsetorri Sea against the Rebellic Client States. There she sunk 7 enemy warships including 3 Pre-Dreadnoughts. She was also present in the 2nd Battle of Monsetorri Sea where this time she sunk 3 warships and crippled 5 more. During the Battle, she was hit by 2 torpedoes which is enough to put her out of action. The absence of her Torpedo Protection at that time made a huge impact to the Naval Doctrine which was immediately adopted by the Western Navies. The repairs took 3 weeks and once again she Sailed joining the 3rd Heavy Warship Group. She once again saw action at the Battle of Gernoria where she damage at least 4 enemy Vessels. She was also present on other Battles such as at Hoyaker Strait and the Invasion of Ikemen. Her service for the Navy during the Great War of Coalitions made her the most decorated Battleship that went service for the Grand Navy. Being one of the 2 Dreadnoughts operating on the Southern Oceans created a challenge for her and her crew but nonetheless she won all the engagements. She continued to serve the Navy for another 3 years before being decommissioned. She was re-flourished and was sent as a government owned museum ship.
