NF-15B STOL/MTD
McDonnell Douglas NF-15B STOL/MTD Version 1.0
For SimplePlanes
To research short takeoff and landing operations, the first production F-15B was converted into the F-15B STOL/MTD (Short Takeoff and Landing/Maneuverability Technology Demonstrator), adding 2D thrust vectoring nozzles, reverse thrust, and canards, which were repurposed F/A-18 stabilators. This significantly reduced takeoff and landing distance, making the aircraft ideal for short or damaged runways. The modifications also greatly enhanced the F-15’s low speed maneuverability and allowed for extreme deceleration using in-flight reverse thrust.
The F-15B STOL/MTD was transferred to NASA in 1993 (hence NF-15B), where it received the tail number 837 and was used for the ACTIVE (Advanced Control Technology for Integrated Vehicles) and the IFCS (Intelligent Flight Control System) programs. It currently resides at Edwards AFB as a display and up to it's retirement, it was the oldest flying F-15. Although NF-15B 837 is a one-of-a-kind aircraft, it is prominently featured in the Ace Combat series of video games as a fictional combat-capable variant. Read more...

Author’s Notes
- Controls included in craft instructions.
- You must be, at most, at military power for full deflection of the thrust vectoring nozzles.
- Thrust vectoring is disabled with gear down and thrust reversal is only enabled when on the ground. RSM overrides this.

Good luck!
@ReinMcDeer I might try idk
佬能做个X02S吗
Can you remake your old f/a-18C?
muh babe :D
@ReinMcDeer maybe make a redo of the F-22 Raptor?
Can’t wait to add a damn cockpit into this
Great 10/10
very cool
Your aircraft are amazing, and I’m a big fan of your work. I know you’re busy because of University, but when you’ve got the time I’d love to see you branch out to more European aircraft. Like perhaps a typhoon remake or even the Rafale. You don’t have to though, I hate to beg. Regardless, keep up the good work. This MTD is great!
Bomber next B-1 Lancer or B-2 Spirit please
nasa be makin the best aircraft upgrades only to not enter service
