Target Series!

I have nothing to say, it is very satisfying to fight/use, although I can't help but feel like I did something wrong because the torpedoes aren't as accurate as they should be, but I mean to be fair it fires a spread of torps so…. one of them gotta hit something eh?

(it is also later that i found that it is actually because it doesn't adjust your position correctly.. but I'll remake this in the future so just you wait.

Late Elco-class PT Boats boasts much more armaments compared to early Elco-class PT Boats, between switching the Mark 8 Torpedo Tube Launchers to Mark 13 Aircraft Torpedoes that you just throw to the sides, Late Elcos saved around 1.000lb(450kg) of weight with that change, allowing for more armaments to be installed on the deck such as M4 37mm Automatic Cannon(basically, if you wonder where has your P-39 Cannon gone to, the navy boys yoinked it.), Bofors 40mm(just assume that they stole- I mean Strategically Transfering Equipments into Alternate Locations from another navy ship), the original Oerlikon 20mm(standard Elco deck gun), and typically, all of them would be installed onboard, making for a terrifying armament-to-boat ratio that ever exist for any boat that exists, hell, later even later in the war, they switched out the torpedoes for more guns! call it everything, even army 82mm Mortars aren't safe, they yoinked everything, and I mean EVERYTHING., God forbid they get their hands on some artillery piece… they'd install a 152mm gun somehow if they can get their hands on it, imagine.

[ Build Specifications ]

  • Standard Basic Hull A + FS-A : 1p + 2p
  • Standard Engine : 2p
  • Prop AA Guns(37mm, 20mm, 2x Twin .50, 40mm) : 1p + 1p + 2p + 1p
  • Chasing Rudder : 4p
  • AI-Deployed Torpedoes : 2p
  • A-I system(3FA-1WA) : 3p

total : 19 development points
enjoyment : 7 out of 10
notes : although detail-wise and armaments it is more better than the Elkan-class, it is actually less accurate in terms of dropping the torps into water and hitting, which in hindsight, is actually caused by a faulty code on the rudder, however, it is dropping twice the torpedoes and on a wider spread so it is more interesting for actually… torpedobeating

A PT boat (short for patrol torpedo boat) was a motor torpedo boat used by the United States Navy in World War II. It was small, fast, and inexpensive to build, valued for its maneuverability and speed but hampered at the beginning of the war by ineffective torpedoes, limited armament, and comparatively fragile construction that limited some of the variants to coastal waters. In the US Navy they were organized in Motor Torpedo Boat Squadrons (MTBRONs).
