K-12 Semi-Automatic Rifle
A semiautomatic rifle chambered in 8mm Pilotmario, the same cartridge as the K-10 rifle. While less accurate than the K-10, it could achieve and sustain a higher rate of fire due to its larger magazine capacity, use of a detachable box magazine, and semi-automatic action. During an engagement that became known as the Vineyard Massacre, the Pilotmario 221st Infantry Regiment was attacked by the entirety of the Delian 111th Infantry Division, who decided to strike from multiple directions, with the main thrust entering a terraced vineyard. A trap set up in the vineyard alerted the 221st Infantry to the presence of hostile forces in the vineyard. The Pilotmarians cut down the Delians in a lethal crossfire that claimed most of the division, incluidng the commander. After the war, it was replaced by the K-18, although some troops carried these rifles in the early stages of the Third War. However, the Olympians were now equipped with Model 155 assault rifles, and now outgunned the K-12. These rifles continued use in police and rearguard units.
