X-277 / Burnell OA-16B/NA Nightingale
Fictional Observation & Close Air Support Aircraft
The Burnell OA-16 was originally designed to counter advancing armor columns on the plains of Europe. About half of the OA-16 fleet was converted to the twin-seat OA-16B/NA, with additional upgrades to avionics and systems. The type served well beyond its expected retirement date, generally being relegated to troop support and CAS duties in environments that contained minimal anti-air threats. OA-16s were especially effective in adverse weather, being able to support troops in contact when most other aircraft were unable to find targets.
This specific craft bears the livery of the Civil Air Patrol for uhhhh . . . reasons.

Landing speed ~ 200-230
Takeoff speed ~180-230 depending on load
Use small, quick yaw inputs during takeoff roll to keep the aircraft centered on the runway. Apply full pitch to get that nose wheel off the ground. Be gentle when landing; it has fragile Air Force landing gear (I'm new to custom gear).
moar pictures because I like pictures
this is why we don't let C/SSgt park the Huey

@WisconsinStatePolice as a native Kentuckian I approve
I'm afraid of the world in which the Civil Air Patrol needs a GAU-8 weapons platform, but neat nonetheless
My phone vs 404 pieces

I really have no expectation, excuse, or logical reason for why

I think I'm going to modify it to look actually real
Excellent work
This is entirely how my squadron advertises themselves pretty much. They act like you get to fly in A-10s every day (it’s one of the most strict squadrons in CAP and O-Flights are rare)
