MAE Cavalier Mk. VI [X]
The Mk. VI Cavalier was MAE's [X] series dedicated strike and interdiction aircraft and it fulfilled that role with aplomb. Combat tested in the Erium conflict, Cavaliers demonstrated again and again the ability to penetrate enemy air defences at will to deliver massive ordinance on target. Heavily armoured to withstand ground fire, with a large fuel reserve to perform long range strikes or for extended battlefield loiter, the signature weapon of the Cavalier was the massive, four-barrelled 'Cavalier Lance' automatic cannon with its rotary recoil management system. However, the Cavalier's internal weapons bay with 10 hardpoints, with a further 14 external hardpoints, were a much less obvious but just as lethal threat.
Equipped with an aim and flight assist package, a full array of flares and chaff, as well as MAE's standard ejection system, the durable, deadly 'Cav' was not a pretty aircraft, but it one much loved by both aircrew and the troops they supported.
Activation Group Controls:
AG1: Ejector Seat
