HE-3 Super Hummingbird (Helicopter/Drone Challenge Entry)
Here is a further improvement of my Hummingbird Helicopter. The Super Hummingbird has a slightly redesigned body, and three engines instead of two. Top speed is roughly 140mph. The Vtol slider alters the rotor blade pitch, allowing you to move up or down. It takes a bit of fine tuning, but it can hold a stable hover. Throttle, pitch and yaw do what you expect them to do, and the trim slider angles the entire rotor assembly forwards or backwards by a maximum of five degrees. This allows the helicopter to maintain a level attitude, but still move forwards or backwards. This feature is useful when landing on ships, as it is neccesary to match the speed of the helicopter with the speed of the ship (17mph for the USS Tiny, and 15mph for the USS Beast and destroyer group). Fuel is a non issue with this helicopter thanks to the addition of a modified tank, giving an essentially infinite supply of fuel. A gunship variant of this helicopter will follow shortly. Have fun flying! :)
