The JRS-0.2K Gavran (Raven) or seldom called "Havran" (Weilkovian sub dialect) was a high speed interceptor aircraft developed in the later years of the Second Global war, however, the aircraft was only used in the final months of the war before its end.

The Gavran was powered by a powerful turboprop engine that drove a contra-rotation set of propellers and was used primarily to intercept high speed bombers such as the SB-K J8MS.

Design and Development
The Gavran began as a project in hopes to counter the advancing Hon-Kain and Orusendian forces on the small, underarmed nation as its airforce was critically outdated since the start of the war. Initially planned to be a jet engined aircraft, the plan fell through as initial tests proved to be difficult for the underdeveloped nation.

The project eventually was evolved into a newer, turboprop design with the help of Nordenvok's OrnArbeid Aviation as the nation was also developing a powerful turbo propped aircraft, and an eventual contra-rotation propeller system was designed to allow the aircraft to get enough speed and power to catch new jet powered aircraft whilst still being relatively cheap and easy to maintain. The overall design of the JRS-0.2 is rather orthodox with standard controls, however, later variations of the aircraft were outfitted with front facing elevators to assist in enhanced Maneuverability to allow the aircraft to succeed in a fighter role.

Operational History

By April of 1945, Wielkova was in the midst of invasions from the south via Orusendian forces and the north by Hon-Kain, further putting pressure on the defense department to rush the Gavran's development and production, resulting in several crashes in the early development of said project, the Gavran was riddled with issues even after productions started with problems from engine failure to unreliable engine and oil cooling, fuel leaking, pressurization issues and several instances of landing gear failing to retract properly due to the spring system that pushed the wheels further forward to prevent the propellers from striking.

Despite issues, the Weilkovan military was commanded to use the Gavran as a interceptor aircraft and one of the first conflict the Gavran was involved with was on June 16th when three HiC-84 8-Gata sentoki fighters were on patrol, two Gavrans were scrambled to intercept and attack the Hon-Kain fighters yet one of the Gavran aircraft suffered from a massive fuel leakage and quickly ran out of fuel, causing the pilot to make an emergency landing and the other suffered engine troubles, making it impossible for the aircraft to catch up and intercept the fighters.

After the close of the Second Global War, the Gavran was near immediately retired and all but 3 examples of the aircraft were scrapped.
