[PEA] Nord 1500 Griffon II

Auto Credit Based on Onat67's COLD WAR CHALLENGE (teams version) [OPEN]

My third and final entry for the cold war challenge

Nord 1500 Griffon II was an experimental ramjet-powered supersonic interceptor from France. It featured an innovative dual turbojet-ramjet engine, with the ramjet activating at high speed and bringing the plane up to Mach 2. It took its maiden flight on 20 September 1955.

This replica features realistic specifications and basic fly-by-wire (the nose antenna actually functions as a memory cell for pitch stabilization).

Since this was just an experimental design, i was not able to find information about the amount of fuel and armament. I chose 3500L of fuel (seems realistic) and two Nord AA.20 air-to-air missiles, as those were also used in the late 50s.

The ramjet activates automatically when the aircraft reaches the speed of 900 km/h

@Rb2h yea, Griffon was basically built around a giant engine (also the size of the air intake was increased several times during development because the engine required a ton of air)
