Background
The Roberts R-8 was a twin engine,tri seater light cargo aircraft, built from 1948 to 1951.
The R-8 "Whistling Laurel" was converted into a seaplane in late '49 and had a nose gunner position installed in '50. It operated with German PMC "Brockan Kriegsstopper" in South America, employed by privates for coastal surveillance and security duties.
The Whistling Laurel served for 5 years , from '49 to '54 , after Brockan PMC stopped operating overseas,and was displayed in Munich Air Museum , where it still is today.
The armament of this R-8 was a single modified RPK mounted in the nose gunner position, and an Ak47 for the Radio Operator.

@Graingy uhhhh okay?
silly looking fellow :)
Looks like the plane equivalent of those highschool "alpha males" who claim to be big stuff but are actually pathetic.
really looks like a scrawny ass WWII german bomber and I honestly like it
@AverageBreakingBadMeme scrapped

@Sbevensplanes thanks,i had a lot of inspiration from the Hampden and the do 17

@MemrWii nah not at all. I’m just a gun nerd so I had to say hahaha
@Mustang51 oh man,i forgot about the rpk... its ok though,not that big of a problem
I absolutely love this plane. It just looks fantastic. Has that beautiful 30s-40s look. I also love the rudimental defensive gun. Just letting you know though, the RPK was designed and built in the very early 60s
Cool 😎
@C47skytrain look inside the fuselage, it's meant to be ultralight
I love this! But why is it so light?
